Invites all Corvette enthusiasts to join us
for the
TEXAS WINE & HILL COUNTRY TOUR II

Hi y’all,
We’ve been talking about this trip for a while and finally I have all the pieces together so you can start making
your reservations.
We will be departing New Orleans on Thursday, October 14th, headed west to Katy, TX.
We have 30 rooms
blocked at the Comfort Inn (281-392-8700) ($80.00). Ask for a room in the “Confederation of Corvette
Clubs of LA” block.
On Friday, October 15th, we will visit the ‘Natural Bridge Caverns” on the way west to Fredericksburg, TX.
After lunch, we will head to the “Willow City Loop”, otherwise known as “The Tail of the Armadillo”. From
there, we travel southeast to the Torre de Pietra Winery www.texashillcountrywine.com. Then on to “beautiful
downtown” Luckenbach, TX, http://www.luckenbachtexas.com, where Willie and Waylon and the Boys went.
You can stop and mail a post card from the Luckenback Post Office and get one of those “T” shirts from the
General Store, and the last stop before checking in, Becker Vineyards and Lavender Fields,
One hotel in Fredericksburg is “The Sunday House Inn & Suites” (800-274-3762) ($90.00),
http://www.sundayhouseinn.com. Ask for a room in the “Louisiana Corvette Club” block.
Dinner is at Mamacita’s. Yep. They have opened up one of the most famous Mexican restaurants (San
Antonio) right there in Fredericksburg, www.mamacitas.com/frerericksburg.html.
Saturday, October 16th, we have booked a tour of the National Museum of the Pacific War, http://www.nimitzmuseum.
org, featuring the home of Admiral Chester A. Nimitz with both indoor and outdoor displays. Between
the tour and lunch, there will be free time to shop downtown Fredericksburg.
Lunch will be at the Crossroads Saloon and Steakhouse, www.crossroads-texas.com.
After lunch, we will travel some interesting roads around Fredericksburg in the Texas Hill Country. Who
knows? We might find another winery or two. You never know what may pop up in the windscreen….
Dinner will be in the “Biergarten”, a private room in the “Fredericksburg Brewing Co.”.
On Sunday, Oct 17th, we head for home.
Make your reservations now. The room blocks will be released on September 21st and the hotels will not
guarantee rooms or the rates after that date.
A registration form for the tours, dinners, and event “T” shirt will be out soon.
This one is gonna live up to our motto:
